1What this site is
ProcureCulture is an editorial publication for people who work in or follow cannabis retail. Everything here is for information and discussion only.
ProcureCulture is John Hirsch’s independent publication. It is not operated, sponsored or endorsed by his employer or by any brand or cannabis company.
2Adults 21+
This site is intended for adults 21 and older. It discusses cannabis products that are legal for adult use only in some jurisdictions. If you are under 21, please don’t use it.
3Cannabis laws differ
Cannabis laws vary by state and country, and cannabis remains illegal under U.S. federal law. Products and practices we discuss may not be legal where you are. Nothing here encourages anyone to break the law. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you.
4Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is medical, legal, tax, investment or financial advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your situation. Our product coverage describes personal experience; effects vary.
5Our content
The articles, Field Notes, issues, guides, prompts, designs and other original material on this site are owned by John Hirsch and protected by copyright. You may read, share links to, and quote short excerpts with credit and a link back. You may not republish, sell, or commercially reuse our content, or use it to train machine-learning models, without written permission. See the Copyright page.
6Things you send us
If you email us tips, comments or other material, you confirm you have the right to share it. We may use it to report a story, but we won’t publish your name or your message without your permission.
7Third-party products and links
Coverage of a brand or product is not an endorsement of everything it does, and we don’t sell anything on this site. Links to other sites are provided for convenience; we don’t control and aren’t responsible for them.
8Accuracy and corrections
We work hard to be accurate and we correct material errors (see Editorial Standards). Information can change after publication, especially prices, availability and regulations.
9Disclaimer of warranties
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
10Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, John Hirsch is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
11Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the site means you accept the update.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
